I first met Larry onboard the USS Charleston in 1977. He was my first friend in the Navy outside of my rating. We used to play pinochle and canasta in the ship's laundry while. Later I attended his wedding to Rose. Later, around 1990, I saw him again while traveling to San Diego for duty aboard my last ship, He and Rose had divorced, and he had married Donna. It was good to see him again. We relived a few memories, and I went on my way. Recently, I began to think of him again, and tried to look him up on facebook, but couldn't get any responses.
I'm saddened to hear of his passing. I'll never forget the times we had aboard the Charleston, his laughter, and his friendship.
My condolences to friends and family.
Respectfully

Larry and I go way back to the days when there was actually an Air Force base in Lubbock. He was a fine man and a good friend. I know he'll be dearly missed. Rest in Peace, good friend. Your journey is over and it's time to rest. I hope I'm lucky enough to see you again someday.
May he rest in peace.
Larry was a very special nephew. We spent time with him at Astro Superbowl weekly for league bowling. I have been his Aunt Carolyn since he was a teenager, but my husband Steve only knew him for the last several years. But Uncle Steve got to know Larry quickly, and was very happy about their relationship. Larry was so cute when he came in on Thursday night bowling, as Larry would find us by yelling out "Uncle Steve--Uncle Steve" sometimes 10 to 12 lanes down & come to give us our weekly hug. We will never forget him & always cherish his feelings of respect & love toward us. Love Aunt Carolyn & Uncle Steve
My dad had come to Bryan, Tx before his passing and we had to opportunity to go to Christmas in the Park, I know he enjoyed it and I will always cherish the time I got to spend with him since I did not get to see him too often. He will always be in my heart and my thoughts and I will miss him everyday for the rest of my life.
