Our story

In 1974, Frank H. Camero took ownership of First Memorial Park Cemetery with a vision to meet the cemetery needs of the Von Ormy community. Through dedication and personal connection, Frank earned the community’s trust and steadily expanded the cemetery. In 1999, his son Jerome H. Camero joined him, and together they continued the expansion and enhancement of the cemetery grounds. Their shared passion led to the establishment of Camero Funeral Home in 2005, a testament to Frank's lifelong commitment to serving families with care and compassion. With the growing needs of the community, the Camero family further expanded their services by opening Camero Monument Company, led by Jerome alongside his sons, Abram and Isaac. This venture allowed them to craft personalized memorials, honoring loved ones in meaningful ways. Through the leadership of the Camero family, First Memorial Park Cemetery, Camero Funeral Home & Crematory, and Camero Monument Company continue to provide comprehensive and heartfelt services to families across San Antonio and South Texas.
